In the summer of 1982, there were two films from Universal Pictures featuring an alien visiting our planet. One was a cute little botanist named E.T. whose film set box office records. The other was about a very different sort of alien, one that brought out mistrust and terror in all it encountered. The Thing . That movie made...less money, but it eventually found its audience and Ryan and Nathan are two of them.
